July 2016 – North Island in Seychelles has extended its range of special wedding and honeymoon offers until 22 December 2017*, presenting couples with the ideal opportunity to experience an elegantly simple, barefoot beach wedding on one of world’s most exclusive private islands.
* Not applicable for travel between 23 December 2016 and 05 January 2017
“The combination of privacy and exclusivity makes North Island the perfect setting in which to pledge (or renew) your vows, or to begin a lifelong adventure together”, commented the Island’s GM Nick Solomon. “Expansive white sand beaches lend themselves to intimate beach weddings with a few friends, or even just the happy couple”.
Guests who marry on North Island are already in the ideal honeymoon destination and for those who have tied the knot elsewhere, the Island provides the ideal opportunity to relax and unwind after the excitement of a big wedding, and to start married life in luxury and style. Both wedding and honeymoon couples can take advantage of North Island’s Stay 7, Pay 6 special offer, plus one spouse will receive a further 25% off this special rate. Honeymooners will also be upgraded to Villa North Island on arrival (subject to availability).
The North Island wedding set-up is very much in keeping with ‘Island style’, using palm branches to create an arch or pergola on the beach, decorated with tropical flowers to create a simple and natural look. The Island offers an optional extra full wedding planning service, from assisting with the necessary Seychelles formalities through to floral decorations and even the dress. A Registrar from the Seychelles Civil Status Office can be brought to the Island to preside over a more traditional wedding ceremony, or an informal vow renewal ceremony (without legal status) can be arranged.
North Island weddings end with the couple participating in a beautiful and moving sand ritual as a sign of their love and unity. This is a North Island tradition that symbolises the indivisible combining of two lives as one. The celebrations can then continue after the ceremony in keeping with each couple’s preferred approach to their special day, whether a cocktail evening at West Beach Bar with a few close friends, a romantic dinner for two in the villa or library – or for the ultimate after-party, guests can make a sole-use booking of the entire Island.
The generosity of North Island’s all-inclusive offering is based on a philosophy encapsulated in the three words: ‘Spoil. Surprise. Personalise’. “We truly pride ourselves on delighting guests with a tailor-made Island experience that goes beyond their expectations, often anticipating their desires even before they are expressed”, added Solomon. “The combination of personalised Seychellois service, spacious private villas, and wide range of activities – from relaxing to exhilarating – plus the natural beauty of the Island creates the ideal honeymoon experience”.
