July 2016 – North Island has extended its offer of 50% off the price of up to two spa treatments or private yoga sessions per guest until 22 December 2017*. This can be combined with North Island’s ‘Stay Seven, Pay Six’ offer for a tropical island hideaway experience that is even more rejuvenating and revitalising.
* Not applicable for travel between 23 December 2016 and 05 January 2017.
Every guest’s stay on North Island begins with a “barefoot welcome” ritual, which sets the tone for an entirely stress-free and luxurious island experience, and ensures that guests are eased into the rhythm of island life from the minute they set foot on the pristine white sands of North Island.
The North Island offering includes a number of activities designed to promote a holistic sense of wellbeing, from dawn yoga sessions on the expansive East Beach, to a range of pampering treatments either in the Spa or in the privacy and seclusion of the guest’s own villa.
The spectacular setting of the North Island Spa, on one of the granite hills that form the Island’s spine, guarantees views that are almost as relaxing as the treatments themselves. Looking down through coconut palm fronds reveals the main pool, and beyond that, the beach; straight ahead lies a view of the Indian Ocean that stretches to the horizon. The sense of place is reinforced through the use of Thalgo spa products, created using salts and minerals sourced from the sea.
Immediately below the Spa is the North Island gym, fully equipped with Technogym machines and free weights. These two facilities combine with the natural beauty of the Island and a cuisine that emphasises the freshness and seasonality of local ingredients to create a holistic sense of wellness.
From the barefoot ritual on arrival to the final departure by ZilAir private helicopter charter, the North Island experience is carefully crafted to offer a smooth transition from everyday life to Island life, and back again – this time more relaxed and refreshed.
