Ongoing conservation is at the heart of North Island’s philosophy and volunteer work forms a vital part of our Noah’s Ark rehabilitation programme. In partnership with Wildlife ACT you have the unique opportunity to join our team of Environmentalists as an Ecotourist on North Island. Wildlife ACT is officially supported by WWF and has recently been awarded second place in Africa at the Responsible Tourism Awards 2017 in the category Best for Habitat and Species Conservation.
Your role focuses on three key aspects: endangered species monitoring, marine conservation and ecosystem restoration. We only work with small teams of volunteers for a minimum of four weeks, ensuring that you have committed one-on-one time with our Environmentalists, gaining true conservation experience.
